Day 08~

today's the last day of february, as well as the start of a new week!! i had a good start by waking up realising that i could lift up my leg without much pain!! i'm so happy~ mummy's yoko-yoko did help i guess... hahaha~

as usual, i paid almost full attention for both lessons today!! hehehe... got myself a sandwich for lunch (i'm not feeling very hungry then), saw that there's still much time left before the next lesson starts, so i decided to make a trip down to the bank to update my bank book... finally~

lunch for the day: tuna sandwich!

first time updating my bank book MYSELF... entered the bank, starred blur-ly at the machine, tried to ask for help, and finally a security guard came to my rescue... ok so now i've learnt how to use the machine... but i've got my bank book cover printed instead of my first page!! well at least the next 2 pages turned out right~ shows that i've learnt my lesson... ha~

finally... it's finally updated~

on my way back to school i saw this aunty selling sweaters!! bought one BRIGHT RED sweater for ah po for RMB 38 (~SGD 7++)... i hope ah po will like it!! BRIGHT RED leh... can wear during CNY next year... lol!

3 layers of clothing, i'm sure ah po will have
no problems fitting into it as well!

after school, i went marketing @ 方庄市场!! bought 250g of 肉碎, a brocolli, and 2 carrots... intended to boil the brocolli and carrots, while i steam the meat with eggs... but then to save time, weining suggested that i fry everything together in a wok... and so i did... i also changed my mind about steaming the meat with eggs... i decided to make MEATBALLS instead~ wahahaha~

it's been more than a month since i last cooked... was at a loss initially... didn't know how to start and what to start with... but i still got the work done eventually!! tasted superb~

dessert was this thing called 元宵... looks like 汤圆, but doesn't taste like one... it's hard, and sweet... tasted like 山楂 wrapped with a layer of hard 汤圆 skin... and i dun really like it~

Day 07~

AAHHHHH~ leg pain, butt pain, back pain!! i think i'm too old for my age... just a fall on my butt and i'm feeling pain all over!! getting out of bed is painful; putting on my pants is painful; wearing my socks and putting on my shoes is painful... SAVE ME!!

as i was complaining about all the pain i have like an old woman, i looked out of my window and, OMG!! it's SNOW-ING!!! i couldn't take a good picture of snow-ing, but i took a video of it!! so much wanted to go downstairs to 淋雪, but as i was about to prepare myself to go out, it stopped snowing!!! haiz~ 无缘啊~

ok i know i MUST finish watching our beloved 阿德's episode of  《回家走走》 by today, so i switched on my laptop, sat on my chair, and logged on to xinmsn... it's so funny so touching and wait!! i visited a branch of that 茶餐厅 while i was in hong kong!! the deco is exactly the same lor!! for a moment i thought that was the place i went... haha~  anywayz, mission accomplished!! hmmm, but then i couldn't think of anything else to do on a sunday le... might as well carry on xinmsn-ing hor? so, i went on with 《我猜我猜我猜猜》,《乐在双城》, and 3 episodes of 《爱》!! WOOHOO!! tv marathon... 是爽的lor!! wahahaha~

during my break (from xinmsn-ing), i visited the supermarket opposite our estate shopping for FOOD... it was soooooo COLD out there, i think i better start wearing my 羽绒服 tomorrow~

woah!! actually i didn't buy a lot of stuff lar...
but it looks like a lot hor?

2 x red bean muffins; 2 x biscuits for my ovaltine!!

mummy, i thought u wanted to skype in the afternoon? must be the weather's too good for a nap rite?!! lol!! i moved in the table lamp to my room le... we can try it later tonight when we skype!! oh by the way, i changed the formation of my table le... now i can watch videos/skype/play games on my bed!!! wahahaha~

Day 06~ IT'S SNOWWWING!!!

woke up at 11:00AM to find beijing covered in SNOW! YES!! S-N-O-W!!!

i finally get to see and feel SNOW!!! AAAHHHHHHH!!!



had a quick breakfast (gonna be lunchtime soon anyway~), n quickly rushed downstairs with weining and liling to take pictures!!! the snow, 踩上去原来是那么地软... it's so soft!! and it's WHITE!! NOT BROWN!! WHITE!!! HAHAHAHAHA~

Day 05~ LAST WEEKDAY of the... WEEK!!

YEAH!! it's FRIDAY!! soon, i would have spent 1 week in Beijing, China!! ok, it's a bit stupid to start counting down from here, but i just couldn't wait to get out of this place!!

remember that pimple-like thing i mentioned yesterday near my throat? it's an ulcer... 它好长不长, 偏偏长在一个那么奇怪的地方, haiyo!!

i can't believe that i actually paid so much attention for all my lessons this week!! 超有成就感的!! by the way, i'm recovering well from my illness! =] thank GOD... BUT now, i'm experiencing the side-effects of my medicine... no more blocked/runny nose, but phlegm is STICKY and refuses to come out!! never mind!! i bought our beloved 枇杷膏! i think 枇杷膏's gonna be very useful in beijing, cos beijing is SIMPLY TOO DRY FOR ME~

finally had the opportunity to try out my favourite 红烧狮子头饭 today!! but then again, 北京的东西再好吃也比不过家乡的美食～ i'm starting to miss my chicken rice, wanton noodles, carrot cake, cheng tng, ice kachang, curry puff...

Day 04~

skype was SO MUCH BETTER last night!! keep it up yo!! hahaha... woke up at 07:15AM to take my medicine. and guess what i did after that? I WENT BACK TO BED!!! hahaha!! can u believe that?!! i actually get to continue nua-ing till 10:00AM before i finally 舍得起床!! well, anywayz... the first thing i'm gonna do today, before i forget, is to share this with you!!:

our lecturer today held us back for close to an hour cos he had too much stuff to cover within 2 periods... why like that leh? heh heh... cos last lecture (which i missed), his powerpoint slides couldn't work. so this time when it finally worked, he decided to do a recap... so i guess i didn't miss too much in the end? hahaha...

LOL! this may sound logical lar, but the correct way to interpret the statistics given should be: EVERY patient with this particular disease only has a 10% chance of survival!! 想要安慰病人也不是这样嘛~

won't be skyping mummy tonight i guess =[... i bet she'll be extremely tired after her aerobics session, n stephy would probably need to recharge her batteries for tomorrow's exam... i also need to sleep early tonight lar, cos tomorrow i gotta wake up EARLY, again... so, i'll see u both n papa tomorrow then!!

Day 03~

skype kind of worked better last night... i jus couldn't figure out what's wrong with the internet connection here. i didn't get well last night either... ha... well at least i'm feeling better!

i think i was good in class today! my textbook was "well-decorated" with highlighters and notes... 好有成就感! that means i paid attention in class!! but whether or not i remember whatever was taught today, 咱们还是另当别论吧... heh... wanted to buy an umbrella for mummy after school, but to my disappointment, the stall where i bought my umbrella from no longer sells umbrellas! orh oh... i guess i'll have to 另寻他路喽~ aiyah, how difficult can it be to buy an umbrella in china?!! 没问题的啦!!

see!! i'm hardworking ok!! unbelievable...

today's lunch was INSTANT NOODLES!! I COOKED my 康师傅香菇炖鸡面 + liling's instant 干捞面 at the same time using 2 different pots! cool rite?! i know lar... heh heh heh... 一面吃面, 一面看《爱》and《乐在双城》, 真是爽啊!! eh but after that i did some self-study ok! i went through the powerpoint slides for the lectures i missed yesterday... n it was then when i realised that i actually FORGOT to install Microsoft Office on my laptop!! argh!!!

took a one-hour nap before dinner... dinner was noodles + soup!! actually, if u notice, it's the same thing i had for dinner on day one lar... except that this time the soup was jus soup, not bak kut teh soup, and liling added some mushrooms in it!!

heh heh, i also realised that i forgot to wash my bolster 套... hahaha... but i sent it for washing today le!! and tomorrow, i can hug my bolster again!! speaking of tomorrow, it's another half-day!! yippee!! i can finally wake up late in the morning!!

Day 02~

 i'm on sick leave!!

so, it's 上呼吸道感染... n this, is not an MC!!
it only proves that i've been to a doctor, that's all~

so, my liang teh didnt help. weining's lozenges didnt help. the 热炎宁颗粒 didnt help either... i woke up this morning with the WORST sore throat i've ever experienced... n what's worst - i'm losing my voice!!!

this was prescibed to me last year. thought perhaps it would
help but i can't wait any longer. i want to get well soon!!

so, i decided to go see the doc downstairs. waited for close to half an hour... there's jus TOO MANY patients!! even the doc complained tht she 开方子开到胳臂都快抬不起来啦~ haha... weird thing is, many patients put on drip were jus 感冒patients, like me! is a drip really that necessary for common flu?

2西药s+1中药... 中药 can only be taken 30mins
after taking the 西药s... a bit troublesome hor?

got home, had some porridge, took my medicine, watched 爱 on xinmsn, then went to bed... the medicine 是强的 lor... it made me so drowsy. i was knocked out the moment i lied on my bed. ha... gd thing tmr's a half-day. i can have all the rest i need to kill the bugs in my body~

having the same porridge for dinner rite now... added some toufu to it though... shall watch the 9PM show after i 吃饱... i'm starting to miss my TV now =(

i hope oovoo works well tonight. i hope the internet connection works well tonight. i hope i'll get well tonight... LOL
